hack3r

Hack3r. Well that takes a bit. It has been a hobby of ours since 1999. Its a community setup to learn computer security, through completely legal means. It was originally built by EPiC(may he rest in peace). We were heavily involved in participating in the community and around 2004 we started designing hack3r.com. On April 1st, 2008 the founder Robert passed away and we (after permission) took over everything. From then on, we have been building and redesigning both the website, its competitions and its VMWare machines. We felt it deserved a spot in our grow-lab because of how much we learned participating, running the show, and watching it grow into what it is today.
